Applying for the Graduate Immigration Route
If you're considering applying for the Graduate Immigration Route (formerly known as the post-study work visa), it's crucial to understand the process and requirements involved.
Understanding the process:
-
Degree Completion Requirement: The GIR necessitates the successful completion of the degree for which you were issued your Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
-
Automated Reporting: Our Immigration and Compliance team operates seamlessly behind the scenes. After each of the university's Awards & Progression boards successfully ratifies the degree awards, they are automatically provided with a list of student outcomes. Subsequently, they update the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) system with your completed status, if you are awarded. You do not need to make a specific request to the university for this reporting. Students who still owe fees to the university will not be awarded or have completion reported to the UKVI.
